An evening of haunting spoken word, poetry and song in the WASTELAND. The evening will feature performances exploring climate anxiety/grief and hope in the late Anthropocene, hosted by Marie Specht
Spoken word and storytelling can be powerful tools for personal, social and political change. In this workshop we will explore using spoken word as a tool to reflect and process climate anxiety and motivate meaningful climate action. Please be ready to write and share as much as you're comfortable.

Audie Murray will be sharing a basic beadwork edging technique. Edging is usually used to complete a beaded piece for both technical and aesthetic reasons. We will be edging six pack rings with seed beads, rendering this somewhat invisible object into something visible. Feel free to bring your own six pack rings although all materials will be supplied.
Three musicians will perform a site specific improvisation on instruments linked in a codependent manner. This happening will be followed by a solo performance by Jen Yakamovich.
