Artist Statement:
I created the works in Waste Land as a way to illustrate what might happen to flora and fauna if we continue to use toxic chemicals and rely on harmful energy resources to fuel our planet. The illustration in Waste Land’s kitchen was initially inspired by a Margaret Atwood book, “Oryx and Crake”, where post-apocalyptic, creatures called “pigoons” exist.
